It was at the start of the millennium when Torre Lorenzo Development Corp. (TLDC) started its pioneering efforts that would transform the property landscape into a vibrant setting conducive to the needs of students.

Back then, students had the difficult choice of either living in cramped conditions in dormitories and boarding houses, or enduring the torturous commute between their home in the suburbs and city-based schools and universities. The need for a secure, accessible and highly conducive learning environment remained unfilled until TLDC’s trailblazing development of premium university residences.

The idea was to create living spaces that are comfortable enough while also providing a dynamic venue for students. Its bold move to upgrade the living facilities of students cemented TLDC’s status as one of the most trusted upscale developers today.

TLDC had seen that students prefer to stay in places that offer a sense of home, but would afford them close proximity to their schools. Building on this need, the property developer decided to add the basics of security and comfort, and respond as well to the youth’s desire for an aspirational stylish lifestyle.

TLDC spruced up university living by adding functional amenities such as a residential lobby, RFID access, a visitors’ lounge, discussion rooms, fitness centers and even lap pools in the student residences that it built.

The property giant’s first project was 1Torre Lorenzo near De La Salle University (DLSU) along Taft Avenue in Manila. After it proved to be a big hit among students, TLDC developed the market further and built a similar address right in front of DLSU called 2Torre Lorenzo, with a studio, a one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, and amenities that support productivity and wellness.

The third development in this area was 3Torre Lorenzo, a stone’s throw away from DLSU, College of Saint Benilde, and St. Scholastica’s College in Manila. Further expansion led to Torre Central, which is less than a kilometer away from the University of Santo Tomas in Espana, Manila.

Continued expansion.

For those studying in Katipunan, Quezon City, TLDC offers Torre Lorenzo Loyola, which is located near top universities, shopping malls, groceries and neighborhood restaurants. It offers students a studio and one-bedroom units with kitchen, bathroom and security features. There’s also a Wifi-equipped study lounge, discussion rooms, and a Sky Deck.

Students going to schools near and within the Malate and Ermita areas in Manila can choose TLDC’s 45-story Torre Lorenzo Malate (TLM). The Residences at TLM features TLDC’s signature premium condominium units, while The Suites at TLM and lyf offer stylish serviced residences managed by international lodging operator, The Ascott Limited.

Meanwhile, students living in the South can opt to stay at Torre Lorenzo Sur (TLS), which is conveniently located beside the University of Perpetual Help. This residence features the same urban chic vibe that other Torre Lorenzo developments exude. A garden has been added to its one-bedroom unit for additional breathing space. TLS also has function halls, adult and kiddie pools, and a half basketball court to offer students a balanced lifestyle.

To continue providing the market with its distinct brand of premium residences, TLDC has also partnered with some of the best names in construction, design and architecture.

There is no doubt that TLDC remains to be the champion of premium university residences, offering students a home away from home, while giving them an environment conducive to growth. With its expertise, TLDC proves that personal space can be a spacious sanctuary despite it being shared with others.
