Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TLDC) launches a digital mural art contest in partnership with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB).
Dubbed as Manila Digital Mural Art Contest, the competition aims to highlight Manila City’s historic and cultural character in its newest co-living residences, lyf.
It is open to DLS-CSB’s Multimedia Arts alumni and students. Winners will receive cash prizes and winning murals will be displayed on lyf’s shared spaces including the Connect Lounge, Coffee Kiosk, Social Lounge, Private Working Pods, and Roof Deck.

a. Theme: Rediscover the City of Manila Through Art
b. Designs: Each participant shall prepare five (5) mural designs for the following locations:
i. Connect Lounge
ii. Coffee Kiosk
iii. Social Lounge
iv. Private Working Pods
v. Roof Deck Outdoor
c. Eligibility: The contest is open to individuals who are eighteen (18) years old and above and who are either alumni or current students of CSB. Employees of TLDC and CSB Committee and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity are disqualified from joining the contest.
d. Specifications:
i. All entries must be created with digital technology and presented in various formats of stand-alone digital art image such as, but not limited to:
ii. Entries should be in high resolution JPEG or PDF format, accompanied by low resolution version that is less than 5MB for preview and screening with the following dimensions per area:
AREA 1 – Connect Lounge, 150 dpi
24ft W x 8.6ft H (7065mm x 2600mm)
26ft W x 7ft H (7765mm x 1900mm)
AREA 2 – Coffee Kiosk, 150 dpi
7.5ft W x 6ft H (2155mm x 1800mm)
AREA 3 – Social Lounge “The Communal Lounge”, 150 dpi
31ft W x 11ft H (9400mm x 3235mm)
31ft W x 11ft H (9400mm x 3235mm)
AREA 4 – Private Working Pods, 150 dpi
20ft W x 7ft H (6000mm x 1900mm)
AREA 5 – Roof Deck Outdoor, 75 dpi
78ft W x 10ft H (23700mm x 2800mm)
iii. Entries must be a static digital image that is an original creation by the participant.
iv. Each entry must be accompanied by a brief artist’s statement of no more than 100 words.
e. Submission of entries
i. Submission of entries will begin at 12:01 AM on 31 October 2022 and will close at 11:59 PM on 25 November 2022 (PHT). Late submissions will be automatically disqualified as indicated on its electronic time stamp.

iii. Naming convention: entry file should be named as follows:
TITLE OF ARTWORK_artist’s first and last name_mural location.jpg
(e.g., TLDC_juandelacruz_coffeekiosk.jpg)
iv. Entries with incomplete details or requirements may be disqualified.
v. By submitting an entry, the contestant agrees to all of the competition’s terms and conditions, rules and mechanics, including the decision of the jury.
vi. The contest is free and does not require a registration fee.
vii. Questions about the competition may be submitted through multimediaarts@benilde.edu.ph, but only entries submitted using the provided link will be honored.
viii. The following entries will be disqualified:
f. Intellectual Property
i. Contestants affirm that their submissions are their own original work, have not been copied from others or from previous designs, including their own, and do not violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity.
ii. All winning design shall become the sole property of TLDC and may be used for any purpose relevant to its mandate. Artists may not use their winning images without the expressed written permission of TLDC.
iii. An entry submission into this contest constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, prize information, and other information provided on the entry form for publicity purposes, without further permission and compensation.
iv. TLDC shall have the right to use the winning submission in part or in its entirety in whatever manner it deems appropriate.
v. TLDC reserves the right to use the images in materials related to any form of promotion and other TLDC related activities.
g. Criteria for Selection of Winners
i. The winners will be selected by a panel of judges, whose decision will be final.
ii. Entries will be judged according to the following merits:
iii. Semi-Finalists Round
A total of 15 semi-finalists and their entry of 5 artworks will be chosen by a screening panel composed of TLDC management and DLSU-CSB faculty. A contestant can only be included in the semi-final round if all 5 entries are selected.
iv. Finalist Round
For the final round, each artwork will be selected on its own merit. This means, one or all of the semi-finalist’s work may be selected.
Five winning entries, one per location, shall be selected. Winners will be selected by TLDC Judges.
h. Prizes
i. Each winner shall receive Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000) Cash Prize for each category won.
ii. Prizes are NET of tax.
iii. All semi-finalists and winners of the competition will be given a TLDC- certificate.
iv. The semi-finalists and winners will be notified via email and announced on the TLDC website and social media accounts and DLS-CSB social media accounts.
v. Cash prizes will be awarded through bank transfers.
vi. All five winning entries will be displayed online via the TLDC website, social media accounts and other online media platforms.
i. Disclaimer
i. TLDC is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or otherwise unusable entries, including entries that are corrupted due to computer virus, poor internet connectivity or electronic device problems.
ii. TLDC reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition and award the prize by alternate means if fraud or technical failure is determined at any time by TLDC, including after the submission window has closed.
iii. If the winners are determined to have violated any of the competition rules and guidelines, he/she will be required to forfeit the award and return the prize money, if the determination was made after it has been awarded.
